The Investigational Drug
For the PROSEEK study, the investigational drug is being studied to see if it can slow the progression of Parkinson's disease. It is designed to block a specific enzyme called “Abl” (an enzyme is a biological molecule that accelerates certain chemical reactions in the body). Research has shown that overactivation of Abl may play a role in the progression of Parkinson’s disease. Therefore, by limiting or blocking Abl, it may be possible to help slow the progression of PD.
